Transmission Line Project Engineer (Southeast) -Remote
About the role
This position offers a flexible work arrangements, with the option to work remotely or from one of our offices across the Southeast region. Preferred locations include Indian Land, SC Charlotte, NC Orlando, FL Birmingham, AL Richmond, VA Atlanta, GA
Responsibilities
- Technical leadership and guidance for the planning, design, and delivery of high-voltage overhead transmission line projects.
- Research, design, concept development, planning, client interactions, business and proposal development, construction support, and staff mentorship.
- Support project development through disciplined engineering practices, coordination across multidisciplinary teams, and adherence to established quality and safety standards.
- Lead, support, and coordinate project engineering leadership, project manager support, department support, and additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- 7 -10 years’ experience in the transmission field of designing/managing projects and leading multi-disciplinary teams
- Professional Engineering (PE) licensure
- Understanding of the NESC, RUS, and/or GO-95
- Strong understanding of transmission line fundamentals and PLS-CADD operation
Qualifications
- Strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills
- Experience using the Microsoft Office software suite
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
Skills
- Leadership and project management skills
- Technical expertise in transmission line design and PLS-CADD operation
- Ability to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations

Pay
Expected Salary for the Richmond, Virginia Area: $107,600-$183,000
