Transmission Line Project Engineer
About the role
HDR Engineering is seeking a Transmission Line Project Engineer to join their team in Ann Arbor, MI. The ideal candidate will lead technical execution of high voltage electrical transmission line projects, working closely with the Project Manager.
Responsibilities
- Leads overall technical direction of projects and provides guidance and oversight to a technical team of engineers, designers, CADD technicians, and project support staff
- Schedule and budget support to the Project Manager, including work breakdown structure development and implementation, change management, and schedule management
- Budget support to the Project Manager for proposal development, progress assessment, and change management
- Supports scheduling for and/or performs quality reviews for all deliverables. Ensures appropriate reviewer(s) are assigned
- Coordinates with operations leaders and Project Manager for resource planning and management
- Works independently and may direct, mentor, train, and/or supervise one or more EIT’s, CADD/Designers, and administrative staff
- Independently coordinates the work of engineers and the balance of the team throughout an entire project life cycle
- Participates in project reviews as needed
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of Transmission Line design experience required
- EPC project experience a plus
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and PLS-CADD suite
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Previous experience in general civil engineering
- Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
This is a full-time position with a standard 40-hour workweek.
