About the role
This position offers the opportunity to manage the execution of multiple transmission and distribution projects, coordinating with internal and external departments to manage the full life cycle of project execution. Responsibilities include project execution, contract administration, planning, resource management, and ownership of project performance across safety, schedule, budget, reporting, and client experience. The role involves directing the project team, mentoring and coaching members, and maintaining positive relationships with client functional leads and stakeholders. The position leads efforts to ensure projects are completed safely, satisfactorily, on time, and within budget, while supporting the reporting of key performance indicators for schedule, budget, and other dashboard items. Additional duties include identifying and controlling construction risk, managing change, communicating with stakeholders, preparing clear and concise project reports, and analyzing issues to provide solutions.
Responsibilities
- Manage the execution of multiple transmission and distribution projects
- Coordinate with internal and external departments to manage the project life cycle
- Oversee project execution, contract administration, planning, and resource management
- Take ownership of project performance including safety, schedule, budget, reporting, and client experience throughout the project lifecycle
- Manage and direct the project team to ensure accountability
- Mentor and coach team members
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with client functional leads and stakeholders
- Lead efforts to ensure projects are completed safely, satisfactorily, on time, and within budget
- Support the reporting of key performance indicators for schedule, budget, and other dashboard items
- Identify and control construction risk
- Recognize, identify, track, and control change
- Communicate and consult with appropriate stakeholders and supervisors
- Prepare reports that present project information clearly and concisely to meet client requirements
- Analyze issues and provide solutions to improve results
Qualifications
- BS degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program or a management/business degree
- 7 or more years of specific experience in Project Management of Utility Transmission projects
- Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary teams
- 10 or more years of experience in the electric utility industry (engineering, construction, planning, etc.)
- Experience serving as a firm/client liaison in a support or lead role
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple competing priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative team setting
Skills
- Engineering design experience (valued but not required)
- PMP Certification (valued but not required)
- Construction and start-up experience (valued but not required)

Pay
$145,310.00 – $222,001.00
Schedule
Hybrid work schedule requiring in-office work 3 days per week.
