This position falls within the transmission department of the organization. The engineer will collaborate with senior engineers to complete projects supporting our utility customer, working alongside in-house and client engineers and designers.
Responsibilities
- Perform engineering and design activities for transmission line projects, including engineering analysis, route selection, material acquisition, structural and foundation design, and project/construction management under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Prepare project construction documents such as plan and profile drawings, design drawings, engineering/material/construction specifications, project schedules, and bills of material.
- Assist in developing project design alternatives and corresponding cost estimates with support from senior engineers.
- Learn to design new transmission facilities with voltages ranging from 69kV to 765kV.
- Utilize PLS-CADD to model transmission line design projects.
- Conduct occasional site visits.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
- Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited) may count toward years of experience.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) License is desirable but not required.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00 per hour.
