Transmission Line Engineer III

This position falls within the transmission department of the organization. The engineer will collaborate with senior engineers to complete projects supporting our utility customer, working alongside in-house and client engineers and designers.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering and design activities for transmission line projects, including engineering analysis, route selection, material acquisition, structural and foundation design, and project/construction management under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Prepare project construction documents such as plan and profile drawings, design drawings, engineering/material/construction specifications, project schedules, and bills of material.
• Assist in developing project design alternatives and corresponding cost estimates with support from senior engineers.
• Learn to design new transmission facilities with voltages ranging from 69kV to 765kV.
• Utilize PLS-CADD to model transmission line design projects.
• Conduct occasional site visits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited) may count toward years of experience.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) License is desirable but not required.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00 per hour.
