Transmission Line Engineer III

This position falls within the transmission department of the organization. The engineer will work with senior engineers to complete projects that support our utility customer, collaborating with both in-house and client engineers and designers.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering and design activities related to transmission line design, including engineering analysis and design, route selection, material acquisition, structural and foundation design, and project and construction management with guidance from higher-level engineers.
• Prepare project construction documents such as plan and profile drawings, design drawings, engineering specifications, material and construction specifications, project schedules, and bills of material.
• Help develop project design alternatives and corresponding cost estimates with assistance from higher-level engineers.
• Learn to design new transmission facilities with voltages ranging from 69kV to 765kV.
• Utilize PLS-CADD to model transmission line design projects.
• Conduct occasional site visits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited) may count toward years of experience.
• An EIT License is desirable but not required.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00 per hour.

This is a permanent, hybrid position based in New Albany, Ohio.
