Position Title: Estimator Location: Cocoa Beach, FL Clearance Requirements: None Pay Rate: Competitive, Up to $150,000/year Position Description Seeking an experienced Transmission Estimator to lead high-voltage electrical transmission line project cost analysis. You will develop accurate, competitive bids for new construction, upgrades, rebuilds, and reconductoring of transmission infrastructure. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, procurement, and field teams to ensure profitability, bid accuracy, and project success. Your expertise will help shape efficient project execution, ensuring safety and compliance. Top Requirements 3+ years of construction estimating experience, specifically in electrical transmission line projects (69kV to 500kV+ preferred)Proven ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications for transmission infrastructureStrong knowledge of high-voltage transmission construction methods, materials, equipment, and labor productivityExperience performing detailed quantity takeoffs and developing comprehensive cost estimates for structures, foundations, conductors, hardware, and associated materialsSkilled in construction estimating software (e.g., HCSS HeavyBid, B2W Estimate), Excel, and project cost analysis toolsExcellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with ability to collaborate across teams and with subcontractorsKnowledge of utility construction standards, NESC requirements, and safety regulations Preferred Qualifications Estimating experience for projects from 69kV to 500kV or higherBackground working for electrical utility contractors, EPC firms, or power transmission companiesExperience with greenfield, rebuild, reconductoring, and storm-hardening projectsField experience in transmission line construction and project managementBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or relevant industry experience About Seneca Resources At Seneca Resources, we are more than just a staffing and consulting firm — we are your trusted career partner.
