About the role

The Transmission Engineer will manage the installation, operation, maintenance, and technical performance of Azam TV's satellite uplink teleport and Direct-to-Home (DTH) headend systems. Key responsibilities include overseeing complex signal routing, managing Conditional Access Systems, and performing proactive maintenance on critical hardware.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the installation, operation, and maintenance of satellite uplink teleport and DTH headend systems.
• Manage video signal processing and satellite transmission infrastructure to ensure high-quality and continuous uptime for broadcast services.
• Oversee complex signal routing and manage Conditional Access Systems.
• Perform proactive maintenance on critical hardware to ensure system reliability.
• Collaborate with the Network Operations Center to support the integration of new channels and infrastructure projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the broadcast industry.
• Proven experience in managing and maintaining satellite uplink teleport and DTH headend systems.
• Strong knowledge of video signal processing and satellite transmission technologies.
• Experience with Conditional Access Systems and signal routing.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in using industry-standard tools and software for signal analysis and management.
• Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to broadcast operations.
