Transmission & Distribution Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Oversight and direction of subcontractors for safe, efficient, and timely completion of field construction activities.
• Maintenance of project schedule and adherence to contractual and safety standards.
• Supervision of construction tasks including high voltage transmission lines, substation equipment, duct bank installation, drilled piers, spread footings, and environmental compliance.
• Ensuring high-quality execution and documentation of each activity.
• Collaboration with project management to implement project procedures, standards, and documentation.
• Implementation of field design changes, purchase requisitions, and daily reports with photographic updates of progress.
• Monitoring and enforcement of subcontractor compliance with safety protocols.
• Conducting audits of site safety documentation.
• Managing material delivery verification.
• Supporting craft supervision and material/tool management on site.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 7 years of construction management or craft supervision experience on transmission and distribution projects; or Associate’s degree with 9 years of relevant experience; or high school diploma/GED with 11 years of relevant experience.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills supported by a strong background in safety practices and protocols.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Suite.
• Ability to meet company driving requirements and live within 70 miles of the greater Boston area.
