Translations Proofreader

About the role

Insight Endometriosis is a charity that supports people in New Zealand to make their own decisions about the treatment and management of their endometriosis. The organisation provides evidence-based information guides, as well as helpful tips from those with lived experience of endometriosis.

As the Insight Endometriosis Translation Proofreader, you will work independently to proofread translated written material, such as brochures and information guides. Your role will help overcome language and cultural barriers, make vital information about endometriosis and support services available to the wider community, and empower the community by improving accessibility.

Responsibilities

• Proofread translated versions of information guides and brochures about endometriosis.
• Ensure translated materials maintain accuracy, clarity, and cultural relevance.
• Collaborate with the organisation to address any language or formatting issues.

Requirements

• Fluency in the language being proofread (or at least reasonable experience in that language).
• Strong experience in written English.
• Technically savvy, with a preference for experience using Canva (training can be provided).
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Schedule

Flexible time commitment, depending on the volume of material you are able to proofread.
