Transitions Fittings Assembler III
The Transitions Fittings Assembler III plays a key role in the assembly, inspection, packaging, and movement of transition fittings and related components. This position requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to keep accurate records of incoming and outgoing stock to ensure inventory accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Certified to use powered industrial equipment.
- Set up the work area.
- Prioritize the workload for the team.
- Perform audits.
- Close out the day.
- Train new hires.
- Perform walk-through at the end of the shift.
- Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Receive pipe and fitting trucks and verify accuracy.
- Maintain inventory levels and notify management of shortages.
- Check in fittings and apply labels when required.
- Fulfill customer orders in a timely and accurate manner.
- Use company equipment to shuttle freight.
- Cut, clean, assemble, and build pipe.
- Follow detailed work instructions, drawings, or assembly instructions.
- Inspect finished parts for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
- Perform troubleshooting and rework defective parts when needed.
- Packaging and labeling finished goods for shipment or further processing.
- Accurately record production data, counts, and quality issues.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve assembly and warehouse efficiency.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or assembly experience.
- Certified or willing to be trained on powered industrial equipment.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to quality.
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Able to use a computer.
- Able to use Excel.
- Able to work independently or as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods.
- Use of hands and fingers for handling small components.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Good vision for close-up work and inspections.
Working Conditions
