About the role
The Job Coach will provide direct support to students with disabilities, ensuring they have the necessary skills and strategies to succeed in their educational journey. This role requires a deep understanding of special education laws and regulations, as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized instruction and support to students with disabilities, aligning with their Individualized Education Program (IEP).
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
- Assist students in accessing classroom materials and resources, ensuring they are appropriately supported to participate fully in class activities.
- Monitor students' progress regularly and communicate with teachers and families about their academic and social-emotional development.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in special education and transition services.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
- Valid Massachusetts Special Education Teaching License.
- At least two years of experience working with students with disabilities.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state special education laws and regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Experience with transition planning and services.
- Knowledge of assistive technology and its integration into the classroom.
- Proficiency in using data-driven decision-making tools to assess student needs.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively.

Pay
Salary range: $45,000 - $55,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
Schedule
Full-time position, Monday through Friday, with some evening and weekend availability required.
