Transition Architect
About the role
The Transition Architect plays a crucial role in the SaaS Upgrade and Transitions Team at PTC. They are responsible for assessing PTC software and tools to identify upgrade paths and transitioning customers to new SaaS offerings. This role involves maintaining awareness of PTC products and features, identifying and resolving issues, engaging with stakeholders, and supporting customers through the transition process.
Responsibilities
- Qualify platform/product release updates for functionality
- Maintain and communicate awareness of PTC products and feature release schedules
- Identify and drive resolution of platform/product issues
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to suggest platform/product improvements
- Communicate required enhancement requests effectively
- Educate customers on operational processes and expectations related to SaaS offerings
- Review project outcomes and deliverables to identify gaps in platform/product
- Provide mentoring and guidance on platform/tooling to operation teams
- Review customer build and customization packages for potential upgrade impacts
- Build and deliver knowledge/content materials to relevant stakeholders
- Participate and lead discussions with various PTC groups, including R&D, Product Management, Customer Success, and Service Management
Requirements
- Strong object-oriented programming expertise
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- High motivation to learn new technologies
- High tolerance for ambiguity
- Effective time management skills
- Implementation knowledge around PTC Windchill software
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field (IT, CS, Programming, etc.) or equivalent relevant education/experience
- 4-8 years professional technical experience preferred
- Fluency in English with excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Proficiency in web development technologies, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook
- Potential familiarity with SaltStack

Compensation
PTC carefully considers a wide variety of factors when determining compensation. The anticipated annual salary range for this position is between $100,000-$120,000. The salary range reflects a good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Additionally, candidates may be eligible for a performance-based bonus.
