About the role

The Transit Enforcement Officer - Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of transit systems. Duties include monitoring for suspicious activity, enforcing rules and regulations, and providing customer service.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for passengers and staff
• Enforce transit system rules and regulations
• Interact with customers and provide courteous service
• Respond to emergencies and assist with crowd control
• Perform routine patrols and inspections
• Document findings and incidents in accordance with policy

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Pass a background check
• Pass a physical fitness test
• Must be at least 21 years old

Qualifications

• Experience in law enforcement or security preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of public transportation systems
