About the role
NorthPoint Health and Wellness seeks a Chief Compliance Officer to establish, coordinate, and maintain a comprehensive compliance program aligned with federal and state laws and regulations, including FQHC, HIPAA, and JCAHO standards.
Responsibilities
Direct the development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of NorthPoint’s Compliance Program.
Assist the executive management team in fostering a culture of compliance and ethics, including the adoption of an organization-wide code of conduct.
Investigate and track all reported and known incidents related to compliance risks.
Chair the Performance Improvement Committee, ensuring integration of medical, dental, and mental health clinic performance improvement and compliance standards.
Establish a data-driven annual performance improvement system that aligns with the clinic’s mission, strategic goals, and clinical and fiscal outcomes.
Oversee and implement the staff credentialing process.
Supervise compliance and quality improvement staff, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures.
Requirements
One of the following:
- A Master’s degree in Public Health, Health and Human Services Administration or related field AND three years of supervisory experience in health care compliance.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health and Human Services Administration or related field AND five years of the required experience.
A valid license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Minnesota.
Qualifications
Knowledge of JCAHO, HIPAA, and FQHC compliance and compliance measures; evaluation and measurement; human services and health care risk management issues; legal issues of compliance.
The ability to communicate effectively, evaluate programs, make decisions, and provide direction to others.
The ability to work in a multi-disciplinary and culturally diverse team and collaborate with medical, dental, mental health, and ancillary providers and personnel.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Experience in healthcare compliance and risk management.
