About the role
The Transit Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing transit systems, ensuring they meet safety and efficiency standards.
Responsibilities
- Designing transit systems to ensure safety and efficiency
- Collaborating with other engineers and designers to develop innovative solutions
- Conducting research on emerging technologies and their potential impact on transit design
- Preparing detailed technical reports and presentations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of professional engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of transit systems and infrastructure
- Experience with transit design software
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Experience with project management tools
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance
Skills
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Pay
Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 per year
