Transformation Programs - Front Office

Role Description

Manage end-to-end delivery for large-scale transformation program or portfolio of programs. Engage stakeholders across multiple business divisions to ensure alignment and participation and agree on target end state and ownership. Monitor delivery throughout the life of the transformation effort and assess outcomes to ensure completeness and sustainability.

Role Objectives

• Delivery - Support end-to-end delivery against large-scale transformation program or portfolio of programs.
  • Create and administer central tracking of program stakeholders, scope, timing, resource requirements and deliverables.
  • Leverage standardized templates and communication channels to monitor delivery against program milestones.
  • Act as central coordinator of transformation office and facilitate execution of program deliverables.
  • Liaise with subject matter experts throughout the organization to contribute as required.
  • Monitor delivery throughout the life of the program and prepare regular status reports for program management.
  • Highlight potential risks in terms of under-delivery, missed deadlines and/or budget overrun.
• Interpersonal - Seek out opportunities to raise profile with business stakeholders across the enterprise through timely and high quality support of transformation program deliverables.
  • Act as liaison between program work-streams to promote coordination and awareness of over-arching transformation objectives.
  • Prepare impact assessments of transformation program outcomes to socialize target end state with relevant process owners.
  • Collect and summarize process owner feedback to inform refinements to target outcomes as necessary.
  • Establish relationships with internal subject matter experts to facilitate involvement and contributions to program delivery.
  • Align with transformation teams in other regions or disciplines to share best practice and collaborate on cross-divisional or cross-regional initiatives as appropriate.
• Expertise - Demonstrate an awareness of business stakeholder requirements and organizational context through comprehensive support of transformation deliverables.
  • Leverage excellent organizational skills to centrally track and report program delivery on a continuous basis and update program managers and work-stream leads on program status.
  • Employ communication skills to engage effectively with transformation program stakeholders including work-stream leads, business contacts, process owners and infrastructure partners.
  • Regularly canvas business stakeholders and subject matter experts for input on program deliverables.

Qualifications And Skills

• Knowledge of or interest in sales and trading in previous role
• 1-3 years of Financial Services or related experience
• Bachelor's Degree ideally in quantitative discipline or related field required.

Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this role is between $67,000.00 and $88,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.
