About the role

The Transformation and Engagement Analyst Senior plays a vital role in driving strategic growth and operational excellence within the Claims Department. Reporting to the Claims Transformation Lead, this position supports the development and execution of short-term and long-term strategies, focusing on specialty claim infrastructure and process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Plays a key role in implementing the claims transformation vision, provide strategic alignment, and collaborate with claims management and other departmental teams to drive business outcomes.
  • Requirements Oversight: Review and sign off on business requirements providing additional steer where needed, develop business cases, and define business rules to ensure seamless operations.
  • Stakeholder Management and Communication: Foster strong relationships with claims staff, leadership, and external departments, communicate production issue impact, and roll out training materials to support change management.
  • Process Optimization and Improvement: Analyze and identify process gaps, design and implement future-state processes, and troubleshoot production issues to optimize business processes.
  • Project Oversight and Governance: Influence project oversight, prioritize tasks, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery and adherence to deadlines.
  • Data Analysis and Insights: Gather and analyze data to support business requirements, collaborate with data design teams, and develop data requirements to inform decision-making.
  • Business Knowledge: Demonstrate strong business acumen, know the claims cycle, and visualize current state business roles and responsibilities to identify areas for improvement.
  • Technical Knowledge: Utilize technical skills to support business process solutions, including Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, Excel, and other self-service systems, and serve as a liaison between IT and Business.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 10+ years of claims handling, claims operations experience, multi-line including commercial experience.
  • Experience working on large scale projects.
  • Experience with enterprise-wide systems, automation solutions, and operational best practices.
  • Claim technical aptitude to identify, document, and inform claim system requirements.
  • Advanced skills in creating meaningful PowerPoint presentations.
  • Advanced skills in Visio; process mapping across one or more functional areas/processes.
  • Advanced skills in data analysis and creating insights from data.
  • Skilled in Lean, Agile, and/or Six Sigma to reduce waste, process variation, and non-value add activities.
  • Proactive self-starter requiring minimal guidance and ability to meet deadline.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; experience presenting clean, organized, and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience.
  • Experience managing and influencing teams without a formal reporting relationship.
