Transfer Station Scale Attendant

Responsibilities

• Operates the Customer Service Center pay window and provides receipts.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety of the yard and facility.
• Balances daily revenue and submits reports to accounting.
• Secures the facility at the end of the day (locks, alarms, etc.).
• Participates in training and service improvement initiatives.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License with Clean Driving Record
• Passes random drug and alcohol screenings per company policy
• Strong reading, writing, and verbal skills
• Ability to work quickly and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficient in computerized cashiering and inventory systems
• Competent in basic math, including handling money and calculating volumes
• Familiar with recyclable material criteria, preparation procedures, and alternative disposal options
• Knowledge of hazardous materials, bloodborne pathogens, and emergency procedures
• Punctual, dependable, and capable of working with minimal supervision
• Able to lift up to 65 lbs, operate equipment for heavier loads, stand for long periods, climb onto and into vehicles for purposes of load inspection, and move around the facility

Pay

$20.00+/HR DOE

Schedule

Monday - Saturday, 6:30am - 5:00pm
Saturday shifts will be scheduled for all employees.
