Transfer Opportunity: Paraeducator Special Ed I
This posting is only for current employees seeking a transfer within the same classification for the 2026-2027 school year.
General Requirements
- Subscribe to an Oath of Allegiance
- Submit to a general tuberculosis examination
- Be fingerprinted
- Complete a pre-placement physical examination and drug screen
- Show proof of identity and right to work in the United States
- Employment is contingent upon satisfactory results from drug testing
- Possess relevant training, education, and experience required for the classification
- Successfully pass all examination parts to attain placement on the eligibility list
Certification
When filling a vacant position, the Classified Personnel Director submits the names of the top three ranked candidates to the appointing authority for selection. Candidates not appointed remain on the eligibility list.
Eligibility List
Candidates who successfully complete all phases of the application and examination process are ranked on the eligibility list based on their total examination score. The list is typically valid for 6 months.
Employee service credit is added to the final composite scores for regular EUSD employees or those on re-employment lists, with a credit of 0.5 points per complete year of service (up to a maximum of 5 points).
Veterans Preference Points
Veterans preference points, as defined in E.C. 45196, are added to passing scores in open examinations for entry-level classifications.
