Transfer Driver

About the role

As a Transfer Driver, you will help support the U-Haul community by transporting equipment to and from the repair shop, ensuring that customers continue to receive the highest quality of care. You will use U-Haul Company’s proprietary technology to assess and care for field vehicles. Responsibilities

• Fill in receipt and intake paperwork electronically.
• Transport U-Haul equipment between U-Haul centers, dealerships, and the repair shop.
• Perform visual inspections of equipment.
• Maintain a driver log.
• Assist in additional areas as needed, following directives from your supervisor.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• Able to use mobile transfer programs.
• D.O.T. certification if required—can be sponsored by U-Haul.
• Must be 18 or older.

Work Environment

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts requiring special safety precautions, such as working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or chemicals. Protective clothing or gear (e.g., masks, goggles, gloves, or shields) may be required.

Physical Demands

The role requires physical exertion, including long periods indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted.
