Transfer Driver

About the Role

As a Transfer Driver, you will help support the U-Haul community by transporting equipment to and from the repair shop, ensuring that customers continue to receive the highest quality of care. Whether you are new to the industry or have vehicle-repair experience, U-Haul offers opportunities to work with the largest fleet of trucks and trailers, including the latest equipment added each year. Responsibilities

• Fill in receipt and intake paperwork electronically.
• Transport U-Haul equipment between U-Haul centers, dealerships, and the repair shop.
• Perform visual inspections of equipment.
• Maintain a driver log.
• Assist in additional areas as needed, following supervisor directives.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• Able to use mobile transfer programs.
• D.O.T. certification if required—can be sponsored by U-Haul.
• Must be 18 or older.

Work Environment

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts requiring special safety precautions, such as working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or chemicals. Protective clothing or gear (e.g., masks, goggles, gloves, or shields) may be required.

Physical Demands

The role requires physical exertion, including long periods indoors and outdoors while stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted.
