The Patient Placement Coordinator is a frontline role responsible for managing patient admissions, transfers, and bed capacity within a hospital setting. They serve as the primary point of contact for families, providers, and internal departments, ensuring effective communication and smooth patient flow.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating all aspects of patient placement
• Managing intake data
• Facilitating provider-to-provider acceptance calls
• Collaborating with departments such as nursing, admissions, and case management
• Prioritizing patient acuity
• Managing hospital bed capacity
• Escalating capacity issues proactively
• Exemplifying Family Centered Care
• Delivering exceptional customer service
• Contributing to process improvement initiatives

Requirements

• RN licensure
• Minimum of 2-3 years of Emergency Room experience
