Responsibilities

The position is divided into several key areas: Recruitment Management (45%), Application Review and Recommendations (25%), Event Attendance (15%), and Other Duties (15%). Recruitment Management involves providing information about the University's academic opportunities to prospective students, families, counselors, advisors, and other stakeholders, as well as planning, developing, and implementing on and off campus recruitment travel and activities. Application Review and Recommendations entails reviewing, evaluating, and providing initial undergraduate admission recommendations based on university criteria and artistic standards. Event Attendance requires supporting and actively participating in programs and events engaging prospective students, their families, community organizations, college counselors, and advisors. Other Duties include managing and working on assigned project areas throughout the year.

Requirements

• Minimum: Bachelor's Degree (4-year) in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 1 year of professional work experience, or a combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of the job.
• Must possess well-developed organizational skills.
• Confidence in public speaking to both large and small groups.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
• A commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, and supporting diverse student populations.
• Ability and willingness to travel and work evenings and weekends as necessary.
• Willingness to learn quickly, ask questions, and accept constructive feedback.
• Valid driver's license required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Speaks, writes, and reads one of the following languages: Spanish, Vietnamese, Somali, Mandarin, Tagalog, Amharic, or Tigrinya, and is interested in utilizing language skills to serve prospective students and families in the college search process.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and federal and state privacy laws.
• Experience using an ERP and CRM, specifically Workday and Technolutions Slate CRM.
• Knowledge of financial aid trends and issues.
• Experience working with diverse young adult and youth populations.

Pay

Seattle University has provided a compensation range of $52,000 - $55,000 for this position.

The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, and not based on a candidate's gender or any other protected status.

Schedule

Positions designated as hybrid eligible may offer the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule after successful completion of an introductory period of 3-6 months. In these cases, the role typically begins fully on campus to support onboarding and training, with the potential to transition to a hybrid arrangement thereafter.

Approximately 10 to 12 weeks of in state and out of state travel. Most travel is in the greater Puget Sound Region. Evening and weekend work required, especially in fall and spring.
