About the role
Hybrid role in NYC (3 days in-office, 2 remote; Wed/Thurs anchor days keep the team connected).
Responsibilities
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial leasing documents, including leases, amendments, renewals, and terminations.
- Handling all aspects of transactional real estate work including due diligence, acquisition, disposition, financing, and leasing.
- Managing and coordinating real estate transaction closings.
- Advising institutional clients on the legal aspects of real estate transactions.
- Preparing and negotiating term sheets and purchase/sale agreements.
- Providing legal advice on landlord and tenant-side leases.
- Conducting thorough legal research and due diligence on various real estate matters.
- Collaborating with other attorneys and professionals on multi-disciplinary projects.
Requirements
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Transactional Real Estate Attorney with a focus on commercial leasing.
- Active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar.
- Demonstrated experience in drafting, negotiating, and managing complex commercial lease agreements.
- Proven track record of managing real estate transactions including due diligence, closing coordination, and transactional deal management.
- Extensive experience working with institutional clients and handling landlord- and tenant-side leases.
- Strong knowledge of real estate law and proven experience in preparing and negotiating term sheets and purchase/sale agreements.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Pay
$180,000 - $220,000 per year.
