Transactional Auditor I

About the role
The Transactional Auditor plays a crucial role by conducting a wide range of audits, including audits of licensed operators to determine statutory and procedural compliance.
Responsibilities
- Analyzes and verifies reports submitted by licensed operators and make necessary documentary and/or monetary adjustments.
- Investigates relevant legal and policy issues.
- Prepares audit reports documenting conclusions of audits and provides recommendations.
- Resolves audits and brings licensed operators into compliance.
- Identifies persistent error trends and reports those trends immediately to management.
- Participates on a phone bank and answers phone calls and emails on a daily basis.
- Level II: Assist in training new licensed operators as needed.
- Level II and III: Assist with training new employees.
- Level III: Review other employees completed audits for accuracy, completeness and compliance with statutory law, rules and procedures and communicate to supervisor.
- Level III: Review and update division policy and procedures to reflect needs of Service Oklahoma.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

- Knowledge of mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior.
- Knowledge and understanding of modern office methods and procedures, including computer technology related to accounting systems.
- Ability to work with sensitive materials and maintain confidentiality with appropriate discretion.
- Work effectively in a team environment, participating and assisting their peers.
- Ability to be an active participant in the development and evaluation of program objectives and procedures.
- Ability to review and analyze accounting records and business practices.
- Level II, III: Ability to be an active participant in various types of audits and complete required reports and comprehend and carry out complex accounting, auditing and fiscal procedures.
- Level II, III: Ability to perform a wide range of audit functions and perform highly independent work.
Level Descriptors
Level I – Entry level where employees primarily perform routine audits, reviews, investigations or assist in more complex audits as part of a team. Includes training to build audit skills.
Level II – Career level with full performance responsibilities for a wide range of audit assignments, including independent audits or serving on audit teams for complex audits. May include limited training or supervision of less experienced auditors.
Level III – Subject-matter-expert level for advanced audit work, complex audits, or specialized functions. Responsible for reviewing others' work and updating policies.
Education & Experience
- Level I: A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or public administration, or related field; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Level II: A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or public administration, or related field; PLUS one (1) year of bookkeeping, auditing, accounting, or similar experience; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Level III: A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or public administration, or related field; PLUS two (2) years of bookkeeping, auditing, accounting, or similar experience; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
Pay
This position has an annual rate of $47,379.07.

Schedule
- Full-time, regular position.
- Schedule may vary and require flexibility, including some early or late shifts, weekends, and occasional overtime based on agency needs.
- Occasional travel may be required; reliable transportation may be needed for local travel.
This position works primarily in a comfortable office setting with a computer for a large percentage of the workday.
