Transactional Attorney
About the role
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years of experience in areas such as M&A, negotiating and drafting real estate, corporate, and commercial agreements, and corporate governance and compliance. The candidate must demonstrate an interest in and aptitude for business development. Candidates must also have excellent drafting and communication skills and be licensed (or willing and able to become licensed) and in good standing to practice law in the state of Michigan.
Responsibilities
- Negotiate and draft real estate, corporate, and commercial agreements
- Provide practical and proactive legal solutions to a broad range of clients
- Guide clients through significant transactions and transitions involving local, national, and international issues
- Practice business law, labor and employment law, tax law, employee benefits, environmental law, intellectual property, trusts and estates, litigation, international law, and real estate law
- Support the firm's goal of maintaining a 94% attorney retention rate
Requirements
- Licensed (or willing and able to become licensed) and in good standing to practice law in the state of Michigan
- A minimum of four years of experience in relevant fields
- An interest in and aptitude for business development
- Excellent drafting and communication skills
