About the role
The Transaction Tax Advisory team at Weaver helps private equity, strategic, and founder-owned clients identify potential tax exposures and understand key tax considerations throughout the transaction process. The Transaction Tax Senior Associate will work efficiently to obtain technical tax knowledge to assist clients in various M&A transactions. They will conduct research on applicable laws and write memorandums in an easy-to-understand format.
Responsibilities

- Work efficiently to obtain technical tax knowledge to assist clients in various M&A transactions.
- Work as part of a team, exhibiting initiative, accepting responsibility, communicating effectively, and managing multiple concurrent assignments of varying sizes and complexities.
- Understand that busy-season for transaction-related work is often different from a typical tax busy season.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 2+ years in public accounting
- Master’s degree in Accounting or JD/LLM (preferred)
- Experience conducting tax research (preferred)
- Excellent written communication skills (preferred)
Qualifications
- Strong work ethic and self-starter mindset
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments of varying sizes and complexities
- Understanding of transaction-focused work and its impact on the tax process

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
Hours are typically full-time, with occasional evening and weekend work during busy seasons.
