About the role

The Transaction Management team helps clients strategize, evaluate and execute real estate transactions that advance their business objectives. This Transaction Manager supports the JLL team focusing on high‑growth technology and AI tenants whose portfolios are centered on office and R&D environments.

Embedded within an integrated JLL and client team, the Transaction Manager keeps the team aligned on ongoing client portfolios and transaction updates (internal and external), drafts and revises LOIs, runs financial analysis, and uses AI tools to support and deliver to clients. The role is a proactive team enabler—not solely an individual transaction executor—coordinating resources, developing decision‑ready materials, maintaining process rigor, and anticipating needs across a fast‑moving portfolio. Success requires sound judgment amid ambiguity, comfort with competing priorities and compressed timelines, and the ability to build trust through responsive, precise, and forward‑looking client service.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted, responsive partner to the client and the broader JLL account team, helping align real estate activity with evolving business priorities.
  • Provide strategic transaction and occupancy support, guiding the client through existing portfolio review and analysis.
  • Prepare for and participate in recurring client, project, and leadership meetings; document decisions, owners, and follow‑up actions.
  • Drive the transaction management workflows, playbooks, and governance so the team can move quickly without sacrificing accuracy, consistency, or compliance.
  • Deliver concise, executive‑ready reporting and presentations that communicate portfolio activity, recommendations, financial implications, milestones, dependencies, and decisions required.
  • Support the account team across the full transaction life cycle, bringing structure, judgment, and a high level of proficiency to complex, high‑velocity assignments.
  • Manage and help the team deliver a high volume of lease, sublease, expansion, renewal, relocation, contraction, and termination transactions while following JLL and client processes and standards.
  • Support site selection and market searches, interact with local brokerage resources, evaluate alternatives, issue requests for proposals, negotiate letters of intent and business terms, and coordinate documentation through execution.
  • Develop comparative financial analyses, cash‑flow and occupancy‑cost scenarios, and clear summaries of economic and non‑financial trade‑offs to support strategy, approvals, and decision‑making.
  • Maintain accurate schedules, trackers, and transaction systems; monitor milestones, critical dates, risks, interdependencies, and approvals, escalating issues early and driving actions to closure.
  • Synthesize market intelligence, including availability, asking and effective rents, concessions, sublease conditions, and competitive activity; coordinate maps, dashboards, and specialized site data such as talent access, infrastructure, power, utilities, or permitting when relevant.
  • Coordinate seamlessly with client stakeholders and JLL specialists across brokerage, occupancy planning, project and development services, workplace strategy, finance, legal, tax, technology, and other functions; confirm commission invoices and transaction records are accurate and current.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 7+ years of corporate real estate transaction management, brokerage, or related experience; experience supporting large, sophisticated occupiers is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with lease transactions and portfolio initiatives across office and R&D environments.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment, manage ambiguity and competing priorities, and deliver quality work under compressed timelines.
  • Strong understanding of transaction economics and the financial and accounting implications of real estate decisions.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, including the ability to distill complex information into clear, executive‑ready recommendations.
  • Strong analytical, organization, planning, and process‑management skills, with exceptional attention to detail and follow‑through.
  • Ability to interpret market intelligence, financial analysis, and portfolio data and communicate the implications to varied audiences.
  • Proactive client‑service mindset with sound judgment, curiosity, responsiveness, and a bias for action.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across JLL, client, and cross‑functional teams, influence without direct authority, and contribute to shared team outcomes.
