Transaction Advisory Services Senior Consultant
About the role
Plante Moran’s Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) team delivers strategic guidance and financial due diligence across the investment lifecycle, from pre-LOI through post-acquisition. As a Senior Consultant, you will focus on buy-side and sell-side due diligence engagements, including quality of earnings analysis, working capital assessments, and review of accounting policies to evaluate performance sustainability and identify risks.
Responsibilities
- Provide transaction-oriented accounting and reporting assistance for mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and management buyouts
- Prepare detailed financial analysis to assist clients evaluating acquisition decisions
- Participate in client meetings and site visits while interacting with top-level management to acquire and assess important information for financial analysis
- Develop and review financial forecasts
- Assist with development and review of financial reports to determine quality of historical earnings and assets and liabilities to be acquired
- Research industry and target data, build financial models, analyze financial statements under GAAP, calculate adjustments, prepare reports, and present findings
- Assist in preparing proposals and engagement letters
- Assist with project scoping
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a Transaction Advisory services practice, an Audit or Consulting practice, or Investment Banking
- Frequent travel throughout the region, with approximately 20% overnight travel
- Percentage of Completion accounting (POC) or Over Time Revenue Recognition experience preferred

Pay
The compensation range for this role in CO, IL, OH, and MA is: $85,000-$120,000.
Schedule
This is an exempt position, so you may have to work hours that exceed the standard 40-hour work week. Plante Moran enjoys a “Workplace for Your Day” model which strives for flexibility and balance while staying true to a principally in-person model.
