Transaction Advisory Senior Manager

Responsibilities
- Plans and oversees the due diligence process, applying knowledge of BDO standards to ensure effective and efficient delivery of quality services and products.
- Acts as primary contact for C-level personnel for the duration of the due diligence process.
- Analyzes quality of earnings, working capital, financial forecasts, historical earnings, quality of assets, and liabilities of target clients.
- Performs industry and company research, collecting information from available sources related to the target client’s business.
- Leads on-site and/or phone interviews with C-level personnel at the target client to gather relevant information in support of financial analysis.
- Leads the team in identifying risks and issues related to the transaction for incorporation into purchase agreements.
- Identifies and proposes appropriate resolutions on a timely basis for critical issues related to the M&A process.
- Leads the narrative planning session prior to writing the financial due diligence report and oversees its composition, highlighting key deal-related issues.
- Manages the relationship and information flow between BDO, the client, and the target company.
- Identifies and pursues business development opportunities through industry and networking relationships.
- Manages the development of proposal documents and conducts presentations to acquire new clients.
- Partners with BDO office management to identify and promote TAS practice services to existing and prospective clients, including cross-selling opportunities.
- Other duties as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Schedules and supervises the tasks and project assignments of TAS Senior Associates and Managers.
- Reviews work product prepared by TAS Senior Associates and Managers, providing review comments and edits as necessary.
- Partners with Directors within the TAS practice to provide verbal and written performance feedback to TAS Senior Associates and Managers throughout the fiscal year and during annual performance reviews.
- Develops TAS Senior Associates and Managers by providing real-time and on-the-job insight and training.
- Supports a collaborative and team-oriented environment while encouraging strong results and quality work.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance, required.
- Seven (7) or more years of public accounting experience, required.
- Four (4) or more years of TAS experience, preferred.
- Experience interacting and working directly with C-level personnel, preferred.
- CPA or CA, preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, required.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills, specifically in business writing.
- Ability to interact with and adapt communication style to successfully convey messaging and objectives to all levels of management.
- Exhibits executive presence, intellectual curiosity, and analytical thinking.
- Capable of initiating and maintaining solid relationships with all levels of client personnel and utilizing network relationships to identify business development opportunities.
- Capable of working in a demanding, deadline-driven environment independently and within a team dynamic while managing unexpected issues professionally.
- Ability to analyze large volumes of data to identify potential issues and propose appropriate resolutions to deal structures.
- Required to maintain the highly confidential nature of information.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to produce quality work with attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of technical accounting areas such as US GAAP.
- Ability to travel as needed.
Pay
Individual salaries are determined after consideration of numerous factors including qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
- National Range: $135,000 - $210,000
- Maryland Range: $135,000 - $210,000
- NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $160,000 - $210,000
