About the role
The Office of One Stop Student Services at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK) invites applications and nominations for our Training and Service Coordinator position. We are seeking candidates who can contribute in meaningful ways to enhance the accessibility of higher education, fostering a diverse and inclusive academic environment, and improving the recruitment and graduation of our students. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities
- Implement quality assurance processes to monitor and improve service delivery across One Stop Student Services offices (Undergraduate Admissions, Financial Aid & Scholarships, University Registrar, and University Bursar).
- Analyze complex data to identify trends and develop actionable recommendations for service improvement.
- Design, develop, and deliver training programs and online learning modules for new and existing counselors.
- Facilitate public speaking and training sessions to ensure consistent, student-centered support standards.
- Collaborate across diverse teams and departments to align training and service initiatives with institutional goals.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of three years of experience in customer service, quality assurance, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance principles and process improvement methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including public speaking and training facilitation.
- Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable recommendations.
- Proficiency in developing training programs and online learning modules.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and departments.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without need now or in the future for sponsorship for employment-based visa status.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a higher education setting or a One Stop Office.
- Familiarity with higher education administration, especially in enrollment services.
- Knowledge of the University of Tennessee systems and policies.
- Experience in managing case studies and strategic student engagement.
- Background in instructional design or e-learning development.
