About the role

Two Training Officers — Permanent.

Based in any of our UK offices

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver high-quality training programs
  • Provide hands-on instruction and supervision during excavations, surveys, and other fieldwork activities
  • Support the development of archaeological field staff
  • Work independently and under your own initiative
  • Travel to sites UK-wide

Requirements

  • Motivated, professional archaeologist with 5+ years’ experience in commercial archaeology
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • A passion for archaeology and commitment to ethical practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience in designing and/or delivering training or educational programs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to teach and inspire diverse audiences
  • Degree level qualification
  • A full, clean driving license

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial archaeology
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Passionate about archaeology and ethical practices
  • Full degree level qualification

  • Good team player with a positive, enthusiastic approach to archaeology
  • Excellent eye for detail
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Ability to work away from home with overnight stays
