Location: Silent-Aire USA Manufacturing Facility, Gilbert, AZ
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of a technical & skills-based learning management system (LMS) tailored to both new hire employees and ongoing on-the-job training, including documented proficiency and skills assessments.
- Lead a team of trainers managing a New Hire Orientation (NHO) program transitioning new employees to full-time roles.
- Set strategic vision and direction for training and development at the Silent-Aire Gilbert campus, collaborating with the Silent-Aire Edmonton, Alberta, Canada training team to benchmark and share best practices.
- Positively impact the growth of Global Data Center Solutions employees by equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to perform their job functions.
- Lead a team of learning professionals to solve critical business problems through training and performance support initiatives.
- Investigate new opportunities and develop effective, impactful, and inventive training programs.
- Align innovative ideas with the global strategic plan of the business.
- Facilitate continuous improvement of trainers to support plant operations.
- Own reporting and communication of training performance metrics to all relevant stakeholders.
- Audit and monitor performance and effectiveness of training specialists.
- Collaborate with other learning leaders across the globe.
- Engage with operational leadership, quality, and safety teams to audit and monitor training effectiveness.
- Hire and train new technical instructors to become effective facilitators; own the train-the-trainer design and implementation for on-shift trainers and area training leads.
- Mentor, coach, develop, and evaluate your team of learning professionals through challenging learning projects and programs.
- Manage team members through performance evaluations, job training needs, and other managerial responsibilities.
- Act as a subject matter expert and learning consultant.
- Build technical, service, and digital knowledge, skills, and behavior models and assessments supporting talent development.
- Ensure the creation of professional instructor-led and virtual/online training programs that meet identified learning objectives.
- Develop subject matter expertise in new machines, tools, products, or processes and create learning materials for these areas.
- Develop standardized competency matrices for manufacturing direct and indirect staff.
- Drive consistency across technical learning projects for a more efficient and holistic approach.
- Stay current with training techniques, performance improvement, knowledge management, instructional design, adult learning principles, and organizational development.
- Use strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with managers, instructors, SMEs, and internal stakeholders.
- Capture and implement lessons learned and best practices from previous learning initiatives into future projects.
- Set and drive evaluation protocols for learning deliverables and provide required metrics to business leaders.
- Understand technology and current curriculum to participate in the effective design of learning and performance support tools.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Leadership & Development, including 3+ years of team leadership experience.
- Experience in developing and implementing Learning Management Systems.
- Prefer experience in training within manufacturing environments.
- Effective leadership skills with a strong focus on mentoring and leading training development teams.
- Ability to identify key issues and creatively/strategically overcome internal challenges or obstacles.
- Clear and solid understanding of personnel policies, practices, procedures, and other operational issues.
- Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
- Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
- Critical thinking skills.
- Collaborative approach with instructors, learning designers, product managers, vendors, program managers, and stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage with all levels of the organization and its executive team.

Qualifications
- University degree or diploma in a related field (preferred).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) (preferred).
Pay
Hiring salary range: $89,000–$134,000. Salary is determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
