Training Institute Project Director

What You Will Do

• Set up, launch, and manage the training for shelter staff across New Jersey.
• Curate existing national training materials and negotiate cost-effective access for New Jersey shelters.
• Design, develop, and update training curricula to meet the evolving needs of the homelessness sector.
• Incorporate best practices, evidence-based strategies, and emerging trends into training materials.
• Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of training events, workshops, and seminars.
• Monitor program effectiveness and gather feedback to make improvements.
• Utilize data and metrics to assess the impact of training programs and make data-driven decisions for program enhancement.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, non-profit organizations, and academic institutions.
• Collaborate with experts in the field to enhance the quality and relevance of content, especially for trainings that are best held in-person.
• Coordinate with shelters to ensure that trainings are relevant and being utilized by staff.
• Be a resource for shelters with unique training needs and help develop beneficial resources.

Who You Are

• Passion for curriculum development and ongoing adult education.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse group of professionals.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities, with the capacity to engage stakeholders at various levels.
• Knowledge of homelessness issues, policies, and best practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
• Degree in social work, public policy, education, or a related field (or equivalent experience), Master’s preferred.
