Training & Development Specialist Health Center Associate
Job Summary
The Training and Development Specialist advances quality reproductive and sexual health care and exceptional patient experience by developing and delivering effective trainings and resources for new and established health center staff at PPNCS.
Core Roles and Responsibilities
- Onboards health center staff, participates in collaborative partnerships, educates, and manages competency.
- Specializes in training and onboarding front desk and non-certified/non-licensed back-office staff.
- Trains and coaches staff in performing job functions.
- Develops and implements training programs.
- Travels to various PPNCS locations to provide on-the-job training and evaluations.
- Models, communicates, teaches, and celebrates Planned Parenthood's In This Together employee engagement and patient experience framework.
- Supports health center leaders in staff evaluation and development.
- Maintains connection to day-to-day health center operations.

Qualifications
- 1 years customer service experience.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certificate for healthcare providers.
- Experience effectively training and supporting new employees.
- Working knowledge of technology necessary to perform job function including Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Prepares for and trains newly hired health center associates in Family Planning and Abortion Care.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of onboarding for health center associates.
- Works with organizational staff and leadership to understand and assess needs and develop appropriate interventions and materials.
- Develops, coordinates, implements, and evaluates training programs.
- Travels to any of the PPNCS locations to provide initial and ongoing on-the-job training and evaluation for staff.
- Role models, communicates, teaches, and celebrates Planned Parenthood's In This Together employee engagement and patient experience framework.
- Supports health center leaders in the initial and ongoing evaluation of staff.
- Coaches employees and/or works with site leadership to coach employees when they observe practices varying from standard.
- Assists and prepares employees to be in alignment with and deliver consistent messages about PPNCS mission, strategic objectives, and values.
- Maintains connection to day-to-day health center operations and job proficiency by working a minimum of two shifts per month in a PPNCS health center.
Immunization Requirements
- Hepatitis B vaccination records and titers.
- Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) vaccination records or proof of immunization.
- Tetanus shot documentation.
- Tuberculosis PPD Skin Test that is no older than 12 months.
