Training Development and Delivery Specialist
About the role
The Decision Advantage Business Area within Defense is seeking a Secret cleared Training Development and Delivery Specialist to develop and deliver technical training packages on global security operations, network operations, and other features of our customers managed networks.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update training documentation, manuals, guides, and e-learning modules in alignment with system updates and best practices.
- Lead staff to achieve a high degree of customer satisfaction by achieving and maintaining high cybersecurity and network operations performance.
- Monitor training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics to continuously improve delivery and outcomes.
- Cook up logistics for training sessions including scheduling, materials, room setup, and follow-up communications.
- Build strong partnerships with internal teams (engineering, operations) to align training with objectives.
- Design role-based learning paths for technical roles such as help desk technicians, Tier 2 and Tier 3 operators, and Field Service Representatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Communications, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Must have a DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI.
- Certification: DoD 8570/8140-compliant certification at IAT Level II or higher — CompTIA Security+ CE required at a minimum or the ability to get one within 1 month of hire.
- 3+ years of experience in training, technical education, or instructional design; experience in a technical industry required.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts into accessible, effective training content.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills in both classroom and virtual settings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative and flexible approach.
- Willingness to travel and spend time in field environments to gain practical understanding of technical roles.
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree in a related field and a DoD Secret Clearance.
