Responsibilities
- Ensure the availability and functionality of training labs across all course offerings
- Work in partnership with Course Architects to design hands-on labs that complement course content and objectives
- Collaborate to ensure that lab activities align with the training goals and provide practical, real-world experiences for participants
- Create proof of concept labs using Ansible playbooks to automate the deployment and configuration of lab environments

- Ensure that proof of concept labs are scalable, repeatable, and well-documented
- Capture the Flag (CTF) Design and Development
- Demonstrate project management from product design and development to client communication for expectations of delivery
- Communicate project successes and issues throughout the development while prioritizing tasks for future improvement
- Deploy labs into the OpenStack cloud environment and AWS, ensuring that the labs are accessible to participants for training purposes
- Create and maintain comprehensive lab documentation, including setup instructions, troubleshooting guides, and lab manuals
- Update lab documentation as needed to reflect changes in course content or lab environments
- Provide technical support to instructors and participants during training sessions to resolve lab-related issues or questions
- Troubleshoot and resolve lab environment problems promptly
- Conduct regular testing and quality assurance checks to ensure that labs are functional and error-free
- Collaborate with Course Architects to make necessary adjustments and improvements to labs
Requirements
- Experience with automated infrastructure and configuration technologies such as Ansible or Terraform
- Experience in balancing multiple projects at once
- Experience communicating with clients and delivering presentations
- Ability to independently manage internal projects
- Able to assist with scoping prospective engagements, participating in technical testing from kickoff through remediation, and mentoring less experienced staff
- Able to effectively communicate successes and obstacles with clients, fellow team members, team lead(s), and upper management for project delivery
- Able to coordinate and prepare for internal and customer facing meetings
- Able to lead projects for infrastructure development, automated deployments, and technology maintenance
- Able to work with multiple departments to facilitate development work, scheduling, and guide development teams to meet agreed upon deliverable deadlines
- Able to develop or refine processes working with multiple departments
- Able to learn from others
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Foundational knowledge of cyber security concepts
- Able to contribute new or improve existing content for SpecterOps training courses and assist in the delivery of course offerings (instruction, lab support, etc)
- Able to travel domestically or internationally an average of 10-25% over the course of one year

- Bachelor's degree in a technical field
- Experience participating in and/or leading Fortune 1000 and/or large Federal Government security assessments

- Experience in administering, attacking, or defending Windows/Active Directory, Linux, and/or macOS environments
- Experience in technical writing
- Experience working for a service-based information security consultancy
- Experience developing and/or providing technical training
- Desire to teach and train students in offensive techniques
- Desire to travel internationally and domestically on a more frequent basis
