Training and Development Specialist
About the role
As the Training and Development Specialist, you will lead a structured and consistent onboarding experience, ensuring new hires develop the skills they need to succeed. You will work cross-functionally to track progress, identify skill gaps, and support cross-training initiatives. This role also contributes to the growth of senior operators by facilitating targeted training and development opportunities. SendCutSend is an on-demand manufacturing company specializing in custom sheet metal and CNC machining. We serve more than 150,000 engineers, fabricators, and businesses across the U.S. and Canada. This role works across office and manufacturing environments, with exposure to production areas involving machinery, noise, and temperature variation, and requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when in manufacturing areas. Essential physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, and to bend, reach, push, pull, and grasp items as needed.
Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate the new hire onboarding and training process
- Collaborate with training personnel across all facilities to support, enhance, and maintain every aspect of our training programs from onboarding to advanced skill development
- Track training progress and ensure new hires meet required competencies
