Responsibilities

  • Adheres to the Credit Union's core values and Service Standards in conducting GreenState's mission and vision.
  • Demonstrates a positive member service (internal and external) focus at all times.
  • Demonstrates teamwork in all interactions with coworkers and in the completion of all duties and responsibilities.
  • Safeguards confidentiality of member information.
  • Supports a diverse and inclusive work environment.
  • Participates in community service organizations and/or credit union sponsored events on an annual basis.
  • Conducts and coordinates training for new hires and existing staff within the business units supported.
  • Presents information using a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures.
  • Prepares for upcoming classes by reviewing the course material, coordinating with Talent Acquisition (TA) and Human Resources (HR), and welcoming the learners.
  • Continually looks to refine and enhance training opportunities to increase outcomes and participation engagement.
  • Builds, coaches, and identifies training class opportunities for staff professional growth and coordinates employee continuing development.
  • Reviews and analyzes records for training programs, including, but not limited to, course evaluations and learner participation, data and trends to recommend program changes.
  • Develops, maintains, and evaluates the credit union’s policies, procedures, programs, and manuals within content area.
  • Cross-trains and collaborates with other members of the learning and development team to be able to assist in other learner experiences.
  • Coordinates, develops, and/or conducts other types of instructor-led training, as assigned.
  • Participates in work groups to identify knowledge gaps and recommend learning solutions.
  • Participates in, and may lead, train-the-trainer sessions for other credit union trainers.
  • Provides feedback to other members of the learning and development team through observations and peer learning.
  • Partners with learning and development team members to seek, grow, and promote learning technology that supports both functional training and career development.
  • Keeps up with development in learning industry through reading current blogs, articles, professional association membership, and peer learning.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • A bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field of study is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum three years of industry or related experience required.
  • Great communication skills with strong written and oral presentation skills.
  • Ability to operate related computer applications with specific emphasis on Microsoft suite and credit union technology used by the business units supported.
  • Resourceful and well organized with the ability to prioritize work assignments efficiently.
  • A self-directed nature, ability to work independent of supervision.
  • A creative and adaptable with good problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to report to work punctually, work all scheduled hours, and work overtime as necessitated by business demand.
  • A valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.
