    At Newport News Shipbuilding, the Trainer Production/Outfitting plays a crucial role in ensuring that all personnel have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively. This position is responsible for developing and delivering training programs that cover various aspects of shipbuilding and outfitting operations.

    Responsibilities

    Develop and deliver training programs for shipbuilding and outfitting operations.

    Assess the training needs of personnel and develop training materials accordingly.

    Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback and assessment.

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency and alignment across different training initiatives.

    Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate new technologies and methodologies into training programs.

    Requirements

    Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., training, education, engineering)

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in training production/outfitting

    Skills:

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Proficiency in training delivery systems and methodologies

    Qualifications

    Physical Requirements:

    • Standing for extended periods
    • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

    Work Environment:

    • Office setting with occasional travel to shipyards

    Pay

    The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

    Schedule

    This position is full-time with a shift of 1st.
