About the role
Orientation and annual training play a critical role in shaping the success of our organization by providing the support our teams need to be competent and confident in their roles. Maintaining ongoing learning at a retainable pace contributes directly to the organization’s care, compliance, and sustainability. The Trainer in the Learning and Development department is responsible for improving the quality of work and productivity of the organization's employees. This position assesses property-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identifies and arranges suitable training solutions for all employees. This position actively searches, creatively designs, and implements effective methods to educate, enhance performance, and recognize performance. This position also monitors all industry training regulations and ensures 100% training compliance across all Beacon markets they support.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and deliver engaging and effective training sessions, workshops, and virtual instructor-led courses to meet company goals, objectives, and standards.
- Monitor training and development needs for all DSPs and home/location/program staff to identify gaps and areas for improvement.
- Provide documentation and reporting on training activities.
- Work effectively as a team member with other members of management and the HR and Recruiting staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Instructional Design, Education, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Two years of experience as a trainer/training facilitator, educator, or similar role.
