Trainer II

About the role

The Reentry and Rehabilitation Division is seeking to hire a Trainer II (Correctional Educator) to provide classroom instruction to incarcerated individuals located at the Utah State Correctional Facility in Salt Lake City.

Responsibilities

• Develops lesson plans for classroom instruction
• Uses some type of Learning Management System (LMS)
• Delivers in-person and e-learning classroom instruction
• Tracks student progress
• Collaborates with team members to facilitate organizational education processes

Qualifications

• Experience developing lesson plans for classroom instruction
• Experience using some type of Learning Management System (LMS)
• Experience with in-person classroom and e-learning delivery methods
• The ability to measure and assess student education progress
• The ability to successfully manage a classroom of adult learners
• The ability to diversify instruction based on students’ needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A passion for continuous learning and engaging students in learning
• A minimum of an Associate's degree with an emphasis in education, learning and development methods, or criminal justice

Pay
