About the Role
PANTHERx is the nation’s largest rare disease pharmacy, dedicated to providing uncompromising quality and superior health outcomes for patients living with rare and devastating diseases. We are seeking a Trainer, Fulfillment Pharmacists & Techs to design, develop, and deliver training programs for Fulfillment Clinical Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians. This role ensures team members are equipped with the knowledge and skills to perform their duties effectively in a high-quality, patient-centered environment.
Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, and delivers onboarding and ongoing training programs for Fulfillment Clinical Pharmacists, including:
- Verification of prescription orders during fulfillment
- Understanding on-call duties
- Identifying proper shipping solutions, pack-out, and final packaging
- Communicating with the RxARECARE team
- Designs, develops, and delivers onboarding and ongoing training programs for Fulfillment Technicians, including:
- Fulfilling prescriptions (product receipt, lot tracking, counting medications, shipper coordination)
- Gathering supply items and creating supply kits
- Communicating with the RxARECARE team
- Proper ticketing of orders using designated shipping applications (FedEx, UPS)
- Conducts classroom and one-on-one training sessions using adult learning principles.
- Assists with the development and maintenance of training materials, guides, e-learning modules, job aids, and competency assessments.
- Creates training plans in coordination with leadership and Clinical Pharmacist staff to ensure readiness for independent work.
- Facilitates additional training and identifies skill or knowledge gaps, proposing targeted learning interventions.
- Partners with pharmacy operations, clinical, compliance, and quality teams to ensure training reflects current policies, SOPs, and therapeutic knowledge.
- Supports new program implementations, system changes, and process improvements through updated training.
- Ensures safety of patients and personnel by adhering to good pharmacy practices.
- Reviews literature and attends/completes education and training programs pertinent to pharmacy practice.
- Performs fulfillment pharmacist duties during on-call hours on a rotating basis, which may include transporting products to and from the Panther facility.
- Adheres to all Train-the-Trainer (TTT) program requirements.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Doctor of Pharmacy or Registered Pharmacist degree from an ACPE-accredited institution.
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacist licensure for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Active Pharmacist license for Tennessee or willingness to obtain within 60 days.
- Current enrollment in NABP Verify.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years as a practicing, licensed pharmacist.
- Minimum of three (3) years of specialty pharmacy operations experience, including cold chain management.
Work Environment
This position operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
