About the Role

As a Clinical Excellence Trainer at Millennium Physician Group, you will provide on-the-job coaching to clinical, clerical, and provider staff in medical practices. Your focus will be on teaching specific areas of knowledge to drive medical margin, including healthcare systems (e.g., EHR, telehealth, pre-registration) and best organizational practices. You will analyze workflow data, implement process improvements, and enhance provider experience on Mosaic's platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to all practice locations, including newly acquired sites, to deliver impactful training, observe operations, and validate efficiencies through coaching methodologies, particularly during initial integration phases.
  • Facilitate remote training sessions for new providers and lead interactive workshops to convey essential information and gather feedback for operational improvements.
  • Conduct hands-on observations of clinic workflows to provide actionable feedback supporting monthly reporting and driving improvement toward organizational goals.
  • Review provider notes and communication to ensure adherence to best practices and quality standards, addressing discrepancies with the Supervisor.
  • Create and deliver educational materials to implement new and updated workflows and best practices, utilizing Mosaic's EMR to enhance procedural efficacy and medical margin.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to identify skill gaps and provide targeted support to align with Mosaic's best practices.
  • Engage in regular skill assessments and coaching improvement sessions to ensure ongoing professional development and adoption of up-to-date practices.
  • Partner with Super Users to provide coaching and support, equipping them with knowledge to train peers and drive process enhancements.
  • Offer comprehensive support to established offices, providing remote assistance and onsite guidance as needed.
  • Work alongside Quality, Risk, and Coding Educators to support Value-Based Programs, integrating best practices into clinic operations.
  • Maintain clear communication with the Supervisor, relaying staff concerns regarding quality and coding workflows.
  • Identify opportunities for workflow enhancements, including operational changes or external developments that could improve provider experiences.
  • Collaborate with leadership to assess coaching needs through metrics, reports, and discussions, ensuring effective assimilation of practices into Mosaic's culture.
  • Work closely with Learning & Development, Integrations, Innovation, and Clinical Systems teams to drive continuous improvement.
  • Request and develop new or updated coaching materials aligned with current practices and organizational goals.
  • Serve as a role model for new clinical and clerical staff, demonstrating adherence to Millennium Best Practices and proper documentation standards.
  • Provide clerical and clinical support during integration training, troubleshooting workflows and system usage challenges.
  • Compile and report findings from coaching and site visits, delivering comprehensive status reports to leadership.
  • Exhibit exceptional customer service skills when interacting with internal team members and patients.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in a relevant field required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a medical practice organization.
  • Preferred credentials: CMA/RMA or LPN.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database software.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), preferably Athena.
  • Strong understanding of Value-Based programs (e.g., HCC, Quality Measures).
  • Excellent planning, time management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and expanding personal knowledge base.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities to inspire and engage learners.
  • Creative problem-solving skills to develop innovative solutions for contemporary learners.
  • High levels of empathy and understanding of effective teaching methodologies.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
  • Travel up to 80% of the time.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new situations and work independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Physical Demands

  • Sedentary work: exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible force frequently to lift, carry, push, or pull objects.
  • Repetitive motion: substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Close visual acuity required for preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 lbs. independently, not to exceed 50 lbs. without help.

Pay

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $19.00 to $36.00 per hour, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, internal equity, and business needs.
