Trainer

About the Role

Training and evaluation of associates on Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and classroom instructions. The Trainer will conduct new hire training, cross-train in multiple departments, and ensure associates understand work instructions, SOPs, and safety procedures.

Schedule

Weekend Days Shift: Friday–Sunday, 5:00 AM–5:00 PM

Pay

$20.75 per hour

Responsibilities

• Conduct new hire training on all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) at the site
• Assist with spill cleanup and cross-train in multiple departments
• Teach work instructions, SOPs, and safety procedures, including evacuation points, tornado shelters, and fire alarm protocols
• Advise on site policies during new hire training and assess associates' ability to perform jobs safely with MHE certification
• Educate associates on Step Up for Safety and discuss safety topics during pre-shift meetings
• Complete Near Miss, Hazard, and Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) reports
• Evaluate associates' RPM on ramp-up forms and create success plans
• Assist in creating work reference guides and system logins (SeeIT, JDA, etc.)
• Certify associates for MHE and actively participate in the YOBE process
• Support operations as needed by leadership and perform additional duties as assigned
• Identify training needs, conduct BBS observations, and participate in the Safety Committee
• Update associates on company goals and procedures

Requirements

• Related technical experience
• MHE experience (sit-down forklift and pallet jack required; stand-up forklift, reach truck, clamp, and slip preferred)
• Scrubber experience preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Bilingual ability to assist in training 4PL associates
