What You'll Do

  • Develops, schedules, and provides orientation training for all new staff members
  • Ensures that all staff training files are maintained in accordance with the requirements of licensing/regulatory agencies
  • Develops and implements new staff orientation training and professional certification training plans
  • Develops and delivers pertinent and required on-going training programs for the program/facility
  • Maintains training hours to ensure compliance with mandated standards
  • Captures and coordinates in-service and out-service training for staff members
  • Develops and implements training activities for new programs/facilities under the direction of appropriate senior management
  • Coordinates training activities with the State trainers for those programs/facilities that operate under State contracts
  • Attends staff meetings and conferences
  • Supports the Abraxas philosophy and mission and promotes the seven principles of care

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field and minimum two years related experience in juvenile field OR Master's degree in related field and minimum one year related experience in juvenile field
  • Non-communicable diseases physical exam
  • At least twenty-one (21) years of age
  • Valid unrestricted driver's license
  • Valid insured registered vehicle
  • Criminal clearances (specific State clearances and FBI)
