Trainer | 3rd Shift

What's the Short Version?

The DC Trainer facilitates classroom and on-the-job training for Distribution Center employees, focusing on various aspects of distribution positions, process improvement, and enhancing job knowledge and skills.

What Will You Be Doing?

• Deliver training programs to new and existing employees
• Develop and maintain training materials
• Coordinate training schedules
• Communicate with leadership and coworkers
• Conduct training sessions on various topics
• Assist employees with specific task-related issues
• Support safety training
• Maintain trainee personnel records
• Educate and reinforce company procedures and policies
• Support warehouse operations as needed
• Operate and check out equipment
• Comply with all policies and standards

What Are We Looking For?

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 4-6 years of warehouse experience
• Ability to read, write, identify colors, sizes, quantities, labels, and SKUs
• Demonstrated ability to follow directions and prioritize tasks
• Ability to read and interpret technical data, safety rules, and manuals
• Effective communication skills
• Positive and productive work environment
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
• SanMar’s Lift Operator Certification every three years
• Ability to work in high-demand, high-volume environments
• Ability to work both independently and within a team
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work essential days or overtime as needed

What's Our Offer?

• Salary Range: $19.50 - $26.00 per hour, depending on experience
• Paid Time Off: Accrued weekly based on hours worked, up to 112 hours per year; 8 paid holidays and 1 paid family day off

What Should You Expect?

• Work environment: Moderately noisy, with potential hazards due to machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and mechanized systems
• Physical requirements: Standing, walking, talking, hearing, lifting up to 60 pounds, reaching, grasping, performing repetitive hand, wrist, and arm motions, climbing stairs, kneeling/squatting, bending, carrying, and wearing personal protective equipment
• Work environment conditions: Ambient lighting, exposure to dust, changes in weather conditions, extreme heat, and extreme cold
