Trainee - Respiratory Care
About the role
The Trainee – Respiratory Care role works under the direction of the Manager of Respiratory Care, the Charge Therapists and the Respiratory Therapists in providing all medically sanctioned therapeutic, supportive and monitoring modalities to patients as prescribed by physicians/advanced practice practitioners, their representatives or by department protocols in all areas of the hospital.
Responsibilities
- Works under the direction of the Manager of Respiratory Care, the Charge Therapists and the Respiratory Therapists
- Provides all medically sanctioned therapeutic, supportive and monitoring modalities to patients as prescribed
Requirements
- Active enrollment in a Respiratory Therapy program and pursuing credentials which will qualify for Licensure required
- Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date
- Completion of 300-500 hours of clinical hours preferred
Qualifications
Education: Active enrollment in a Respiratory Therapy program and pursuing credentials which will qualify for Licensure required.

Experience: Completion of 300-500 hours of clinical hours preferred.
