Trainee Natural Areas

About the role

City of Newcastle (CN) is offering a rewarding Traineeship within our Natural Areas Team, where you’ll gain valuable hands-on experience while completing a Certificate III in Conservation and Land Management. This is your chance to build a strong foundation for a career in natural resource management, bushland regeneration, and land care — all while getting paid to learn.

You’ll work in some of Newcastle's most scenic locations and contribute to shaping Newcastle’s future as a liveable, inclusive city.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience in natural resource management, bushland regeneration, and land care
• Work alongside the Natural Areas Team in scenic locations across Newcastle
• Co-create sustainable solutions and contribute to the city’s 2040 vision

Pay

From $55,118.76 per annum + 17.5% annual leave loading + 12% Superannuation for a 38-hour week.
