Essential Functions
- Affirms daily cleanliness and focused engagement for all stores and business units.
- Maintains image program standards.
- Ensures qualified/optimum assistance at assigned business units, including recruiting, training, and development, and resource assistance to the Dealer network.
- Achieves motor fuel and merchandise volumes and margins objectives.
- Proposes modifications to competitive posture.
- Monitors and reports competitive activity, communicating significant changes such as building activity, pricing, and methods of operation.
- Maintains accuracy and profit maximization of district profit/loss statements, break-even analysis, safety, accounts receivable runs, and capital expenditure budgets.
- Manages proper and timely handling of accounting and administrative functions and procedures.
- Maintains sales, inventory control, environmental compliance, and maintenance.
- Implements strategies and tactics, analyzes data, and makes recommendations to ensure district goals are met.
- Counsels direct reports to jointly implement and support current marketing strategies.
- Promotes management principles of motivating, reviewing progress, accountability, performance recognition, etc.
Accountability
- Responsibility for the performance of business units and all aspects of stores within the assigned district.
- Protection of company assets.
- Compliance with state and local laws, guidelines, and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business management or an equivalent combination of education and industry work experience is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory and/or retail management experience.
- Able to travel to each location throughout the week as needed.
- Good analytical and oral/written communication skills are required.
- Intermediate computer skills required.
- Ability to solve issues independently as they arise.
- 24/7 availability and work ethic.
- 100% focus and attention required.
- The ability and willingness to travel when needed.
- The ability and willingness to relocate to any territory where there’s an opening for a permanent DDM.
- Periodic requirements to attend meetings and stay outside the district for business purposes.
